Called to Serve

This weekend has been a very eventful weekend but the first thing I wanted to share was my dads exciting news! This last Thursday my mom and dad called us to share with us their news. Me and Ben knew something was up since they wanted to talk to us on speaker phone and lets just say our family has been in shock all weekend. My dad has been called to serve as the 2nd counselor in the BYU-I 70th singles ward in the 2nd stake. My dad of course was nervous, excited and had mixed emotions because it was such a big surprise and a life changing experience.
Those of you who know my dad will know how great he is and how great he will be with those kids. My dad has the biggest heart and he just loves the youth. Growing up he loved chatting with our friends and joking around with them and he is just a big kid at heart. My dad was excited because not only was he going to spend time with the youth but also his good friend Scott Harris who was called as the Bishop. Is that just not the funnest and funniest bishopbric ever! I am so jealous of these kids! They will have so much fun. I can't tell you all how amazing and spiritual it was this weekend. My family has had there ups and downs and trials like any other family and we know that the Lord has called my dad for a reason and there will be many blessings to come. The Lord works in mysterious ways and he has truly answered my prayers. I am so excited for my mom and dad to have this opportunity to serve up here at BYU-I and I know they will do great job. I love my family so much and I don't know what I would do without them and the gospel in my life. I am so proud of you Dad and we love you so much!!!

Keely's Birthday

December 6th was my niece Keely's birthday. She turned 13! I can't believe she is a teenager. She is getting so big its hard to believe time has gone by so fast. Keely has grown up to be such a beautiful girl, who is very independent, has her own style, she is so smart and funny and we are so glad to have her in our family. Its fun to watch her grow and take on life. We celebrated her birthday at my mom and dads house and instead of having a birthday cake she wanted to have snicker doodle cookies from great harvest with peppermint ice cream on top. Those of you who don't know, our family is crazy busy in the month of December because we have many birthdays along with Christmas. Starting with November 27 is my Mom's, then Keely's is the 6th and my dads is the 9th and my two aunts are on the 10th and then mine is the 12th. So you can say we get sick of cake so a lot of like to switch it up and have something else instead of cake. All though its crazy and expensive, we love the month of December and the time we get to spend with our family!
Happy Birthday Keely!! We love you!!

Our Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving we spent it with Bens Mom in Ogden, Utah and it was so fun. We were so excited to get out of town and spend time with our wonderful families. We laughed, played games, ate food, ben went rabbit hunting with his Stepdad and brothers and us girls got to enjoy some chaotic Black Friday shopping and playing with Aniston, oh and we ate some more. We are so blessed with such great families and the best part is it keeps growing and growing. I am so grateful for my family and my in-laws. I was so lucky to have married such a wonderful, loving husband who blessed me with a wonderful daughter and not just one but two families who I love so much. Thanks Angie and Claire for such a good time and for all your hospitality. Thanks also to Bens dad Kurt and his wife Chris for dinner and games, we had so much fun. We are so grateful for the love and support that we get from all our friends and family. I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!!!

Us enjoying our First Thanksgiving together

Aniston has started to grab things, so its a whole new world for her
This was hilarious!! Aniston was not feeling to well last week and lets just say this was her first solid diaper she had and presented it to us at the dinner table.

Angie and Claire cooked an amazing dinner

the turkey was delicious

Us girls before we left for Black Friday shopping

So we are crazy but not crazy enough to go sit in lines for hours and hours. Maybe if we were after the major doorbuster deals but we just wanted to go in and look around, but we did learn something, do not act like you are going to push through the doors or else a guy with a leather jacket will be all over you. haha The employees came out and held hands so that no one would cut in line and my mother in law may have shouted red rover, red rover haha did i mention were crazy!

The trash was overloaded with hot chocolate and coffee
We ended at target, where we ended up finding everything but the line was so long to get to the register that it went clear to the back of the store and weaved in out of every single grocery isle at the Super Target, we were pretty tired by the time we left!

We are slowly converting to the crib

So we were very blessed with a wonderful, beautiful and seriously the best baby newly parents could ask for!! She hardly ever cries, only when she is tired or hungry but who wouldn't do that, and she started sleeping through the night at 7 weeks! A big help to her sleeping through the night was her swing, which has been a lifesaver but we were worried that she wouldn't sleep well in her crib when she grew out of the swing. So in order to make a nice transition we started having her take naps in her crib during the day and guess what she loves it to!!

Halloween

This year for Halloween we had a few friends over for a steak dinner and games. We had so much fun and for Anistons first Halloween we dressed her up as a cute little bunny. Halloween came a little to fast for us and we didnt realize that it was this last weekend so when we got home from California, we had to think fast. So we got Aniston's costume but ran out of time to get something for us to wear, so we were lame and didn't dress up but we promised each other that we would next year. Here are a few photos and we hope you all had a Happy Halloween!!

We carved pumpkins earlier in October with our friends Steve and Cassie

Anistons Baby Blessing

Anistons baby blessing was on September 25th at the Eagle Rock Stake Center in Idaho Falls at my home ward. We had a luncheon in at Westside Elementary and are so thankful for all the wonderful grandma's who made it happen and made such yummy food. Ben gave such a beautiful blessing and we had so many family and friends that traveled from different places just to be there for her on her special day. Ben and I are so grateful for all the love and support that we felt that day. Aniston has strengthened our own testimonies in so many ways and she has made us the happiest parents and we are so blessed to have been married in the temple and to have her sealed to us. Even though she is so small, she has already made such an impact in our lives and has made us want to be better. We love this little girl so much and we are so grateful to our Heavenly Father to have blessed us with her. We love you Aniston!!
